Do you know what you should be doing — but find yourself not doing it anyway? 🐘

In my latest blog post, I share the framework I use when helping clients troubleshoot their habits, routines, and productivity. It's built around a metaphor that I find surprisingly useful: a rider sitting on top of an elephant, traveling down a path.

The Rider is your rational, planning mind. The Elephant is your emotional, habitual side. And the Path is everything in your environment that makes the desired behavior easier — or harder.

When someone is stuck, the fix isn't always more willpower. Often it's a Path problem — and a well-designed environment can get you started even when motivation is nowhere to be found.

The post includes a free downloadable handout that summarizes the whole framework, including concrete coaching tools at each level.
