Trauma & neurodivergent lens to healing - BSP, NARM, EMDR, IFS, Somatic, Art & Music, KAP
Did You Know Family Members Can Book a Session Too?
Getting a diagnosis doesn't just affect the person who received it.
Partners, parents, and family members are often processing their own questions right alongside you.
That's why we offer a Post-Diagnosis Consultation open to both the individual and the people supporting them. It's a single one-hour session built to help everyone involved make sense of what the diagnosis means and what comes next. You don't have to sort out the after part alone, and neither do the people around you.

Most Couples Therapy Wasn't Built For You
Let's say it plainly. The standard couples therapy playbook was developed by studying neurotypical couples, and much of it quietly assumes both partners share the same baseline: for eye contact, for emotional processing speed, for how a nervous system behaves under stress.
When one partner is autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD, that assumption doesn't just fail to help. It can actively harm, because every place the neurodivergent partner deviates from the assumed baseline gets logged as resistance.
We don't work that way. We start by asking how each of you is actually wired, and then we build the approach around that. Not the other way around.
You've spent enough of your life adapting to rooms that weren't designed for you. Therapy shouldn't be another one.

Six Methods, One Thing in Common
Brainspotting, EMDR, IFS, NARM, somatic therapy, and KAP each work differently, but all six share a starting point: your body holds onto experience just as much as your mind does.
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess memories.
IFS treats the different parts of your inner world as protectors instead of problems.
NARM addresses patterns rooted in early relational trauma, while somatic therapy and Brainspotting work directly with what your body is holding.
KAP, supports your brain's capacity to build new pathways when other approaches have plateaued.

Feeling Stuck Despite Doing Everything "Right"?
You've been in therapy. You've read the books. You've tried so hard, and still, something feels unreachable.
That mean your brain needs a different kind of support.
KAP helps create the conditions for deeper processing, safely, and always with a therapist by your side.
You don't have to keep grinding through on willpower alone.

You Weren't Failing. You Were Being Misread.
If you've been to couples therapy before and left feeling like the identified problem, we believe you. It happens often enough that we've stopped being surprised by it.
A well-meaning clinician hears "he doesn't respond when I'm upset" and reads withdrawal as avoidance. Hears "she interrupts constantly" and reads it as disrespect.
What they're watching is shutdown, or a working memory that will lose the thought entirely if it isn't said right now.
The interpretation was wrong, so the intervention was wrong, so you did the homework and it didn't help, and then you carried that as evidence that your relationship was the unfixable kind. It wasn't. It was misread.
If that lands, we'd like to hear from you. Request a free 15-minute consultation through the link in our bio.

Why we don't do revolving-door scheduling.
Once you and your provider agree on a recurring day and time, that slot is yours. We call it a reschedule-only policy, and it exists for one reason: consistency changes outcomes.
Therapy works better when you're not renegotiating your spot every week. If something comes up, we reschedule. We don't hand your slot to someone else.

What If Neither of You Is the Problem?
Try this one on for a second. What if the thing you've been calling "our communication issue" is two entirely reasonable people with genuinely different needs, running into each other with no translator in the room?
What if the partner who goes quiet isn't shutting you out, but is at capacity?
What if the partner who needs to resolve it tonight isn't being demanding, but is holding an unbearable amount of uncertainty?
What would change in how you talk to each other if you started from there?
We ask questions like this a lot. Not because there's one right answer, but because most couples have never been offered a frame where both people get to be understandable at the same time.

All Parts Welcome: Intro to IFS
Ever notice how part of you wants to move forward, but another part slams on the brakes?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) makes sense of that inner conflict. IFS sees us as having different "parts", protectors, managers, and exiles, each with a role.
Some keep us safe. Some hold the feelings we've learned to avoid. Therapy helps unburden these parts so your authentic self can lead with curiosity and compassion.
If you've ever said "part of me feels…" - you already speak the language of IFS.

The Double Empathy Problem, Explained.
For decades, the assumption was that autistic people struggle to understand others. Dr. Damian Milton's double empathy problem reframed it: the misunderstanding runs both ways.
Autistic and non-autistic people tend to misread each other at roughly equal rates.
Research has found that autistic people communicate with other autistic people just as effectively as non-autistic people do with each other.
The breakdown shows up at the crossing point, between two different communication styles, rather than inside either one of them.
For a neurodiverse couple, this changes everything about where the work goes. It stops being "help the neurodivergent partner communicate normally" and becomes "build a shared language that belongs to both of you."
That's a very different room to sit in. Want a therapist who already speaks this language?

You Don't Have to Pick a Method on Your Own.
Walking into therapy and being handed a list of six modalities can feel like homework before you've even started.
You're not expected to know which one fits.
Jennifer offers Brainspotting, EMDR, IFS, NARM, and somatic therapy, along with KAP through Julia, and she'll help you figure out where to begin based on what you're bringing into the room. And you get to change your mind as you go.
