We are so proud of Chloe Longpre for her achievement of the Contribution to Campus Sustainability award presented by the Office of Student Engagement & Belonging at USM. Chloe managed our Freestore this year and helped us participate in a record number of events!

We are so proud to see one of our own take the stage and share her journey & voice with our school. Najmo is graduating this Saturday with a B.A. in Social & Behavioral Sciences and is currently enrolled in the Public Health master's program through USM’s Muskie School of Public Service.

Meet Najmo Ahmed: USM's student commencement speaker for the Class of 2026. 🎓

She's a Lewiston native finishing her bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral sciences while also interning at the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and working towards a master’s in public health....and her mom still doesn't know she's speaking at commencement!🤫

Highlighting our very own Lisa Struebing!

Next week, Lisa will walk across the stage at commencement, a two time graduate from USM, to receive her second degree: a B.S. in Physics.

Lisa is a first generation college student who truly embodies what TRIO is all about.

"I believe strongly in leading by example, so if I encourage students to ask questions, seek help, and show up fully, I make sure I’m doing the same myself."
