Stand for Children - Oregon

We’re proud to collaborate with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and Imagination Library of Oregon for 9-to-5 Day, honoring Dolly Parton’s legacy and deep commitment to ensuring all children have the resources and support they need to grow into lifelong readers. Dolly Parton established the Imagination Library in 1995 in her hometown in honor of her father, who could not read or write. Today, this international program has gifted over 330 million books to children in five countries.

None of this work, at Stand for Children nor at the Imagination Library, would be possible without the local organizations, volunteers, parents, educators, and students like you, who work 9-5 (and nights and weekends too) to improve our education system and provide critical support to children and families in our communities.
