WE FOUND A NEW HOME! ❤️
After many weeks of moving, organizing, planning, and preparing, Ahava Gleaners is thankful to share that we are beginning food distributions from our new home at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
Saturday Food Distribution
12:30–2:00 PM
Trinity Lutheran Church
2194 SE Minter Bridge Rd.
Hillsboro, OR 97123
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us through this transition and made it possible for Ahava to continue serving local families.
As we settle into our new home, please remember that food selection and quantities will vary based on what is available each week. It will slowly pick up, but we are starting smaller than some of our last distributions. We are hoping this will change within the next few weeks - we will keep everyone updated as changes come.
We look forward to this new chapter and to continuing our mission of creating food security with dignity, compassion, and LOVE in action. ❤️
A new home. A new chapter. The same Ahava Gleaners.

Do you know a family or an individual who could use a fresh, hot meal — or maybe just a little community and friendship? ❤️
Our new friends at Trinity Hillsboro serve a FREE hot meal every Thursday evening from 5:00–6:30 PM.
I attended last week and had such a nice time that I plan to join them about once a month. Come have dinner, sit for a while, meet some new friends, and enjoy being part of the community. Everyone is welcome.
And before you leave, they even have a few groceries available to take home. 😊

If you know someone who could benefit, please share this with them. Sometimes a hot meal is about more than food. ❤️
💙🌻 WE FOUND A NEW HOME! 🌻💙
WE HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME TO BE ABLE TO SHARE THOSE WORDS WITH ALL OF YOU.
After months of searching, planning, praying, and refusing to give up,
Ahava Gleaners has found a new home — and we are preparing to reopen!
The past several months have been one of the most challenging seasons in the history of our organization. While our regular public food distributions have been paused, we have been working behind the scenes to maintain the relationships and partnerships that will allow us to come back strong.
And now, we finally get to say...
WE'RE COMING BACK! 🎉
Our goal is to reopen our regular Saturday food distributions in mid-September.
There is still work to be done before we open the doors. We have equipment to move, refrigerators and freezers to set up, inspections to complete, food deliveries to restart, and lots of little details to put into place.
For now, we are not announcing our new location or address. We want to allow our new partnership and facility agreement to be completely finalized before sharing those details publicly.
But don't worry — the announcement is coming!
As we get closer to reopening, we will share the new location, our official reopening date, distribution information, volunteer opportunities, and everything our families need to know before returning.
To our volunteers, donors, community partners, businesses, friends, families, and everyone who continued believing in Ahava Gleaners during this season:
Thank you.
You encouraged us. You stood beside us. You helped us keep moving forward when the road ahead wasn't always clear.
Ahava Gleaners has always been about more than food.
It's about neighbors helping neighbors.
It's about dignity, compassion, community, and making sure people know they haven't been forgotten.
That mission never changed.
And now we're getting ready to do it together again. 💙
A NEW HOME.
A NEW CHAPTER.
THE SAME AHAVA GLEANERS.
Stay close to this page over the next few weeks — we have LOTS more exciting news coming!

A Personal Message from Ahava Gleaners
To Our Community Families
Serving this great community has been one of the greatest honors for many of our volunteers and long standing members.
Because of unexpected changes to our facility access,
AHAVA GLEANERS IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR OUR WEEKLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION AT ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH .
We are working diligently to secure a new location. to reopen as soon as possible.
This pause is difficult — for us and for the families we care so deeply about — but please know that our hearts, our mission, and our commitment to this community have not changed. We are working hard every day to return to serving you as soon as possible. You matter to us. Your families matter to us. And we are deeply grateful that we were able to support you during important moments in your lives, and we look forward to doing so again.
This is not goodbye. This is a temporary season.
With deep gratitude, love and commitment, Ahava Gleaners
WE ARE OPEN TODAY - STARTING AT 12 PM, because we are outside in the cold, and any other type of weather there might be.... WE MIGHT CLOSE EARLY (Before 2pm) .
This is our final distribution at All Saints Episcopal Church in Hillsboro. I did not want to cause confusion so I have not updated with a future closure notice. I will put that out today.
SO IF YOU NEED FOOD, TODAY IS A GREAT DAY TO SHOW UP AT 12PM. SEE YOU THEN.

BREAKING: Our Baskets of Joy Registration hit its limit in record time!
We need your help to fill these baskets. We are serving over 500 children ages 0-17, and any gift helps with bringing Joy and showing love this season.
Please consider using our amazon wish list to donate today!

With Cyber Monday almost over, and of course Giving Tuesday on its heals, I thought I would share our Amazon Wish List . This is the largest list of children we have ever signed up this early in December. We opened our list up at 12:01a.m. this morning, and had reached over our limit by 7:15a.m. and had to close the link.
So, needless to say, we are in great need, and any help you can provide is appreciated and needed.
May you be blessed beyond measure this season and throughout your life.

Thank you Sunshine Division, Safeway, Albertsons and COMMUNITY MEMBERS!
We were able to hand out Turkey Kits ( a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and rolls)
On Monday evening for 42 families needing an extension of love, acceptance and support this holiday.
We handed these out in the drizzle, the dark and all with NO coffee or hot cocoa. Lol
Thank you all who made all this happen!
Well, my last auction on BUY WANDER was today
Drove in the rain on interstate, holiday 84 traffic. 2 hours to make it to our appointment time where we were told that there was a bathroom here because we did there from the very beginning welcome to buy wander and we're showing the bathrooms and how you can just walk in and talk with someone but because they've moved to curbside they've taken away the bathrooms but they didn't tell anybody and then made us feel like s*** when we went to try to ask for a bathroom.
I spend at least $100 a week here and now we won't spend any more.
