Sunnyside Neighborhood Yard Sale! - Sunnyside Neighborhood Association The 1st Annual Sunnyside Neighborhood Yard Sale is on Saturday, September 26th, 2026 from 9 AM to 3 PM across the Sunnyside neighborhood in Portland, Oregon

Mark your calendars now for our first big peer-to-peer fundraiser of the year, the one where we celebrate healthy movement for all and cheer our students on as they run, walk, shimmy and shuffle around the school to raise funds for SES Garden, Music, and Field Study programs!

Sunnyside Bike Bus on Fridays!

Join your classmates and the Bike Bus movement and bike to school! Active transportation to school keeps kids and families fit, helps kids focus at school, and reduces traffic and greenhouse gas emissions.

Bike Bus Meetup Spots: On Fridays starting Sept 4th, meet at the spots below or join along the way. Kids need a safe working bike, a helmet, and a lock to park their bike at school.

SE 29th & Pine - leave at 8:25
SE 23rd & Taylor - leave at 8:25 (Meet with above route at 8:30)
SE 41st & Taylor - leave at 8:30
SE 34th & Clinton - leave at 8:25

The PTSA is excited to welcome you back to another great year at SES. We are here to build community and raise funds in support of SES’ mission.

As we are all sadly aware, our society is set up to leave public education woefully underfunded. One of the things that makes our school unparalleled is the way we engage ALL of our students in the world around them. Sometimes that happens with hands in the dirt around the garden grounds. Sometimes that happens through field studies off campus, near and far. Without our Back to School Ask, plus money raised at PTSA events throughout the year, we simply could not maintain our unique and beloved field study, music, and garden programs.

We ask that you give $250 per student, but we offer a sliding scale. Consider giving more or less depending on your budget, or you can pay in installments over time.
