🎃 Happy Midsummer Scream weekend!!! 🎃 I’m so excited to be here and to meet so many new faces and hopefully see some old ones! You can find me at booth 566, right in the middle of all the happenings! I’ve brought sooooo many goodies that aren’t usually or aren’t always with me at shows so this one is going to be packed! I scream, you scream, we all scream for Halloween!! 🎃👻🦇🍬🐈‍⬛💀🎃

I took the Clay Creatures class at earlier this year and sculpted this little dragon. After brainstorming with my teacher on how to decorate, we decided that 🔥FIRE🔥 was the only way to birth this dragon into the world. So I signed up for their next Raku class and thus, our little baby dragon was born from the ashes. Covered in soot, I bathed it and cleaned it and its pearly scales finally came through. Now it sits in my room, protecting its mother from evil (it’s me, I’m the mother of dragons 😛)
But this was so fun! And kind of a pain at times. Waxing and glazing this was not for the faint of heart and cleaning as well. I actually lost a wing towards the end and had to superglue it back on 😅 but thankfully it was a pretty clean break and went back on super easily. Definitely would LOVE to try raku firing again. My brain is already thinking up new possibilities 🙂 Ceramics is so fun, y’all. Also hard at times but I loooove learning new things about it and there is SO much to learn 🥰

I think these bag charms are some of my favorite things I’ve ever made! I made a BUNCH last year and I’m down to a handful left, including this guy. I kept a Snufkin one for myself to go with my plush Moomin bag charm and it’s the cutest thing ever and he’s still hanging on so I can also tell you they’re nice and sturdy too!

Also random fun fact, Feist was my first concert back in 2008. My boyfriend at the time got me tickets to see them for my birthday at the Hollywood Bowl. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings was the opener and it was amazing!

Not sure I’ll continue making bandana slides since I’m loving the bag charms so much but there’s a small handful left including this cutie!

Occasionally I have to paint my namesake ❤️ Did you know milagro means miracle in Spanish? It’s also what they call sacred hearts/flaming hearts! I love love love the imagery of them and as a trinket collector and a half-Mexican artist, it just makes sense for me 🥰 And this little ceramic trinket tray is still available for you to put your fave trinkets on or write a little wish and keep it on here. After all, milagros are meant to bring good luck, good fortune and good health to those who have them ❤️

All of the ceramic figurines I made (except the bb dragon, sorry) are up on my shop! Only a couple small things have been taken but our fave fish friend is still available along with lots of other ceramics! It’s finally happening!!! I’m gearing up to bring you some ceramics! There won’t be a whole lot and I can’t even promise what’s going to be available because I have a market this Sunday and I need every chance I can get to make what I can. But whatever is leftover will be listed and on top of that everything will have a little something taken off so we all can win! Unfortunately, I did not get into Emerald City Comic Con this year and that’s a huge loss financially plus I’m having surgery which I’m sure is going to be another big hit financially. I haven’t even seen the bill from the ER visit yet. Apparently the hospital is still trying to fight with United (yep, I’m stuck with them 😑). But anyways, every little bit helps so even if you can’t get anything, interacting with this goes a long, long ways!

May I present to you my very first and very tiny ceramic dragon sculpture!! I freaking died picking him up from the other day, he’s so cute!! I cannot wait to try making more of these little cuties. And I have a handful of other ceramic sculptures to share with you once I can get some photos 🥰
