Happy Sunday, friends. I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to tip from sharing into sounding like I’m bragging, as that’s never my aim. I don’t want to come across as someone holier-than-thou or imply I’m above anyone reading this. Not long ago I was in a place so low I could barely breathe, scrolling through your posts and wishing my life looked like yours.

I can’t take all the credit for the turn my life took. When I was at the bottom, drowning in misery, I cried out to God. He reached down and threw me a lifeline and the only thing I’ll claim credit for is that I grabbed hold.

I’m cocky, stubborn, and yeah, arrogant at times. But what keeps me grounded is the reminder that God is in control and that even the worst situations can be changed. The enemy offers deals and false promises; God offers grace. If we accept that grace and let it work in us, peace follows - and with that peace comes the clarity to see the path God has for us.

If you’re struggling, feeling anxious, depressed, or alone, I can’t pretend to have all the answers. What I can tell you is that I’m living proof God does. When you’re ready, ask him. ❤️

“Neverland” comes out at midnight tonight. I’m gonna be real here… When I wrote that song, I was going through more than a hard time. It was such a dark time, that I was ready for life to end. As men, we shy away from the conversation of mental health. We put it to the side, sort it out on our own, we tough it out. Su***de, alcoholism, and drug addiction is proof that millions fail at “toughing it out”. Neverland was about a reoccurring dream I had. A dream where there was no divorce, no guilt, and no loneliness. We were young, happy, and everyone loved each other. The pain of the sad reality that slapped me upon waking up was unshakable. When I wrote the song, I unknowingly faced that pain and it was more than I could take. I went into a tail spin and, just like the line in the song, it put me on the brink… So many of you watched my decent toward rock bottom. It was a public fall that brought me so much shame, which only fueled my decent.

I want to be clear about this…

I didn’t find God. God found me! And he forgave me. Finding a love that pure gave me the grace to forgive myself. You don’t have to go to church to find God, you don’t have to ask a preacher for permission to talk to God, and you don’t have to live a Christian life to be rewarded with God’s grace. When you are at your lowest point, when you have nobody or nothing left, and when you feel like all hope is lost, just open your eyes. God will be there. When everyone else leaves you, God will be there!

I wasn’t going to put this song out. It was something I was scared to death of having to relive every time I was on stage. Today, things are completely different. Putting this song out is my way of having the conversation. It’s my way of saying that it’s ok to admit that you are not ok… I’m sharing the words I put together that expresses my darkest moment. The moment that almost took me, but ultimately led me to the wonderful grace of God.

I’m officially back in music. But I’ve brought God back with me. I’m excited for the journey!

After posting the video of me playing this song acoustic, I thought “why not release it!?” So after not releasing anything in a very long time, the fully produced “Neverland” produced by the world fambulous Jondan McBride , will be out on all streaming platforms next Friday, June 26th!

Over a year ago, I walked away from music. I have so many reasons… A series of unfortunate events, a profound sadness, I was honestly lost. My mental health had taken a drastic negative turn and I was suffering more than I was willing to admit. Yesterday, on my 43rd birthday, God brought me back to the music. For the first time in over 9 months, I picked up a guitar. I played one of the songs that I’d wrote during that dark time, and with joy in my heart, with what I feel is the Holy Spirit inside my soul, I was able to play Neverland with the passion of someone who lived through the pain and rose above it. I want to share a little of that experience with you ❤️

It’s been one year, today, since I’ve been on a stage. One helluva year filled with growth, maturity, and a massive positive transformation! I went out with a bang. I will come back with a mega bang!!

I don’t put in work for those that said I wasn’t good enough…

I reward myself because I was always better! 💥

And so are you ❤️
