The 2026-2027 STARS AI Scholars program applications are now open to K-12 educators and college/university students in computing, AI, and data science! This program brings together small teams of Scholars, each involving BOTH K-12 teachers and undergraduate computing students, to build knowledge of AI, develop skills for integrating AI into K-12 classrooms, and design and lead a K-12 AI Education Project grounded in a real educational problem or need. Program Highlights:
● $1000 stipend for successful completion
● 10 virtual meetings
● Build your knowledge of AI concepts, tools, and ethical applications
● Collaborative K-12 AI Integration Project, built as a team
● Guidance and support for designing and implementing your project — no prior experience required
● Professional development certificates
● Networking with AI education leaders and fellow Scholars nationwide
Program Duration: November 2026 - April 2027
Time Commitment: ~50 hours total
