The BoatHouse MicroCinema is a non-traditional 30-seat screening venue dedicated to promoting Portland filmmakers and fostering community. A former fire-boat-station, the Boathouse is a long-running collective-artist-studio headed by Portland filmmaker Matt McCormick, who along with studio-mate Chris Freeman, host screenings aimed at bolstering Portland’s independent and experimental film community. The BoatHouse MicroCinema is supported in part by The Precipice Fund, Calligram Foundation, and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
