'Tafoni', "Inspired by rock structures that look like honeycomb or Swiss cheese and form over eons through cycles of erosion and weathering. 💧 This sculpture is created using painted papers, fiber mesh & acrylic. The segments are adhered together then coated with multiple layers of acrylic to increase stability. The oval lace-like pattern is cut out, each section is attached to form final sculpture. ⛅️ The shadows cast by this structure become an intriguing part of the piece. This sculpture reflects my continued exploration of organic textures & forms, recreated in paper, fiber & acrylic."
