A little clip of “Blue Skies” with Swing Shift Jazz Orchestra last fall. I was honored to wear a beautiful jacket given to me by the great Carmen Bradford, who bought this jacket while shopping with Ella Fitzgerald (they both bought the same jacket) while on tour with Count Basie in Japan. She passed it along to me and wearing it feels like a powerful hug from the lineage of this amazing music. It was a beautiful night singing some of Ella’s songbook.💙 🎶 …la la la.

I’m still floating from all the love 💕 Thank you to everyone who made my birthday special. It took me awhile to absorb it all but it was a wild couple weeks. I thought it was gonna suck, but it didn’t thanks to my parents, besties and family who made it so magical. We also had a fab gig where I took requests all night. It was so fun, I’m going to do it again. I think I sang 20 songs I’ve never performed before but know well.
1. Crystal Starr took this backstage in LA
2. Fam birthday in Vancouver with Bestie
3. A boat caught on fire at dinner, we watched it completely burn and sink- everyone was fine, no injuries, just property loss and a wild dinner show.
4. My mom made the German chocolate cake of my dreams. Dairy and gluten free and it will live forever in my mind
5. Courtney sent a birthday bottle to the venue and we had so much fun after with my girl squad
5. Ross Garlow liked my jokes
6. MSO in Australia
7. Family dinner al fresco
8. I’m so funny
9. Zoo trip with my babies
10. Enjoying my student Minntah’s show
Thank you to all who sent their love and greetings 💕 I’m so grateful and felt truly loved. 🥰…la la la.
Corner Pocket (aka Until I Met You) written by Freddie Green in 1955, lyrics by Donald Wolf, made famous by the Basie band and Sarah Vaughan in 1961. Manhatten transfer won the Grammy for this song in 1981. I also love the vocal version by Joe Williams in 1985.
Also, I hate doing dishes after a gig. This was the night I shared a show with China Forbes of Pink Martini. It was a really fun night! I’m so tired in this video, it was a long drive. You can tell my lashes are heavy, but it’s hard to wind down after being on stage. I was still decompressing. Anyway, I thought I’d share this cute tune. Hahaha💕…la la la.

Sometimes a Mom needs to vent. Do you know this tune? It was made famous by Ruth Ettings, 1930. “10 Cents a Dance” refers to the dance halls where guys would write their name on a dance card to dance with the girls who worked there.
Squeezed this in before Joe got on the plane for Australia. Miss him already 💕 join me tomorrow at the 1905 for the Mount Hood Jazz Festival, April 22, my birthday!…la la la.

Big thanks to Eugene Weekly and Savannah Brown for telling my most embarrassing story, a win and a fail wrapped in one 😆🫣 🦷 of how my dear friend Apples paid for my teeth, instead of getting a record deal. It’s a pretty crazy story- the timing was impeccable and hard to believe it happened the way it did.
I’ll put the link to the story in my story and bio …la la la. Photo by

I’m so excited to announce my new project “Terzetto” which will debut at the PDX jazz festival March 5th, and then bringing it to the Jazz Station in Eugene, March 13th.
Terzetto is a trio with the soulful genius of Joe Bagg on organ and piano and the powerhouse lyricism of Tim Wilcox on sax, myself@on vocals. There is something about a trio that leaves nowhere to hide and this unconventional instrumental group will be an exhilarating new adventure.
We’re honored to be part of this year’s PDX Jazz Festival. Truly. This festival means a lot to me, our hometown, and getting to bring this brand new project to it feels really special.
Join us at The Duniway Hotel.
It’s a FREE show. What?! Never happens. Be there!
Come let the music stretch out a little.
I can’t wait to share this with you. 🎶…la la la.
