Quick short haul on the new ledge for zincs and a mid season shave and a haircut, all done, inspected and back in the water in under an hour! Thanks Port Harbor Marine for the awesome service!

Some photos and video of a refloat we did this weekend of a 26’ walk around that had sunk on its mooring in Falmouth, we were able to rig the vessel, lift it off the bottom, right it and dewater it before towing it to shore to be hauled out with our 44’ salvage tug New Ledge. Thanks Diver Lou for the underwater help and Coastal Towing for the help with the land based portion! The videos were taken by our friend Peter Dion from a neighboring boat. Some of this summers tows and such, it’s been busy so we haven’t had much time to post on here, also apologies to the Facebook crowd as it appears nothing was linking for the past couple months when we posted on instagram, but I think we have finally sorted that out and are hopefully back in action. Crew abandons disabled sailboat off Pond Island - The Harpswell Anchor A 40-foot Tartan sailboat was towed to Safe Harbor Great Island marina on Friday afternoon after its crew abandoned the vessel off Pond Island the previous day, according to Harpswell Harbormaster Darcie Couture.

It was a long couple days at the beginning of the week recovering this 42’ fishing boat that parted its mooring and went ashore in Small Point l, Maine. This was a very challenging recovery due to the wind and cold on Monday, remote location, and the fact that the vessel had a large hole punched in the starboard side of the engine room that required the vessel being moved to the neighboring beach to effect repairs that would allow it to safely make the trek to the boatyard. On Tuesday we had much more favorable conditions and were able to patch and de-water, then refloat the vessel and tow it to Casco bay boat works for haul out by IKS Transport, we were able to successfully remove the vessel and the inherent pollution hazard before stong southerly winds Tuesday night that would have further damaged the vessel. Many thanks to everyone involved especially my crew who put in a few long and not super fun days to get the job over the finish line.
