This dollar mountain goat was designed by Janessa Munt and folded by me.

Last month, while driving home from a teaching session at Lyle School in Washington, a flash of white caught my eye. Perched high upon the boulders along Highway 14 was a magnificent wild mountain goat. It was a fleeting second at 50 mph, but it felt entirely divine.

Lately, my work trips through the Columbia River Gorge have left me with a heavy heart. Seeing these beautiful, ancient landscapes devastated by recent wildfires is deeply saddening. But in the midst of the quiet, burnt forests, this creature appeared like a promise of resilience—a true silver lining.

Or perhaps, it was Janessa sending down a beautiful sign from above. 🤍

I’ll be demonstrating & selling my art in an event called Gresham Arts & Culture Fair at Gresham Historical Society tomorrow, Sunday, June 14th, 11am-3pm! Sh*****ng trip last weekend 🦐

I made graduation leis with satin ribbons, $$$ and candies for our niece and nephew who just graduated this year. This was my first time making leis, and it was a bit tricky at first, but I really enjoyed learning something new and adding personal touches to our gifting. Congrats to all graduates of 2026 🎓

Here's a look back at the Children's Day event at from yesterday! As part of the celebration, I prepared video and diagram tutorials for the workshop and folded late Kawasaki models in tribute to the master to display at the event. Friends William and Steve joined me to demonstrate Kawasaki Roses, and Ayumi gifted us beautiful roses to give away for the guests. During the workshop, I managed to teach my young mentee/helper a 3-minute Rose. Witnessing the master's legacy live on through others brings me joy. Huge thanks to the staff, volunteers, and friends who contributed to this event's success ❤️

🌸 Trillium with Yuki Martin

🤩 Origami Connect is OrigamiUSA’s program of online classes, open to anyone anywhere in the world, whether or not you are a member of OrigamiUSA. All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Inspired by the distinctive three-petaled trillium flower common in Pacific Northwest woodlands, Yuki created an elegant origami representation of this plant.

Participants will fold the flower and leaves from equilateral triangles and the stamen from a 1:4 rectangle, with all components beginning from 6-inch (15 cm) squares.
