The Crystal Guide
Crystals, stones, minerals, jewelry, locally made goods & more to help bring joy and enrich your life

Two of our OG artists deserve some love today. ❤️
Both of these amazing humans have been with The Crystal Guide for years.
Lisa of Mayor Lisa takes estate, vintage, and reclaimed jewelry and turns it into beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. She’s incredibly creative, incredibly kind and real, and no two pieces are ever quite the same.
Woke Face wokeface brings the fun. Weird in the very best of ways, whimsical, colorful, and impossible to walk past without smiling. Their jewelry, stickers, beanies, and gifts have become favorites for a reason.
They’re both Portland artists. They’re both wonderful humans. And they’ve both been part of this community for a long time.
Thanks for helping us fill this little shop with the work of talented local makers. ✨

This shop is basically a giant crystal treasure hunt right now.😍
Every day we’re unpacking boxes and finding things we forgot we had.
“Oh! There you are!”
Meanwhile, there are still shelves to fill, displays to finish, and about 47 million things on the to-do list.
But every day the shop gets a little fuller.
A little prettier.
A little more like home.
And seeing all these pieces back out where people can enjoy them again feels pretty darn good. 💙
So grateful to be back open with y’all! 🥰

🐾 Meet today’s shop helper, Ellie.
She wasn’t feeling her best this morning, so she came to work with Mom to keep an eye on things. Her job duties include greeting customers, accepting compliments, supervising snack breaks, and occasionally reminding everyone that dogs are better than emails.
The Crystal Guide is dog-friendly, so you’ll sometimes find Ellie (or other well-behaved pups) visiting the shop.
If you have allergies, sensitivities, or other special needs, just let us know. We’re always happy to make accommodations whenever possible, including scheduling private shopping appointments on Wednesdays.
Come say hi to our very good employee. ❤️

Yesterday was one of those days we’ll all carry with us for a very long time.
After everything that has happened since the explosion last September, standing in front of The Crystal Guide for our ribbon cutting felt surreal.
Seeing customers, friends, family, fellow small business owners, artists, musicians, and community members gathered together reminded us why we fought so hard to come back.
One moment especially stayed with me. A gentleman told me that a few years ago, after just getting out of prison and struggling to stay sober, I gifted him a piece of moldavite and some encouragement. He came to our reopening to be sure to tell me that three years later he is still sober and crime-free and he was grateful for that moment.
I cried - I’m crying writing this.
It was a powerful reminder that we never really know how much impact a moment of kindness or encouragement can have on someone else’s life.
That is why we do this.
Thank you to everyone who came out, shopped, celebrated, supported our vendors, listened to the music, shared stories, and welcomed us back.
We are back!
And our hearts are so full. ❤️
Shop hours starting next week:
Wednesday: By Appointment (for now)
Thursday-Saturday: 12-7
Sunday: 12-4
Closed Monday & Tuesday
We will be open today around 1ish😉

Original Americana-inspired rock, jam-band energy, and plenty of heart.
🤠 The Neon Prairie Dogs
A dynamic Portland favorite bringing blazing disco-country and roots music that’s guaranteed to get the party moving.
🎤 Slow Children
Closing out the night with their unique blend of Northwest alt-rock, prog, reggae, jazz, and what they proudly call “Oregonic Kush Rock.”
Music goes until 11 PM, the market runs during the afternoon and evening, and we’ll finally get to open the doors and welcome everyone back into the shop.
We’re not finished. There will still be projects left to do, paint to touch up, things to rebuild, and dreams to keep growing. But we’ve made it this far, and we think that’s worth celebrating.
Thank you for helping us get here. ❤️

Current status of The Crystal Guide rebuild:
* covered in paint
* moving the same 3 tables around repeatedly😜
* aggressively decorating with tiny gold details
* emotionally attached to wall colors
* surviving primarily on caffeine and delusion
* somehow making it work 😂
But honestly… it’s starting to feel really good in here again.🙌
After everything that happened, watching this place slowly come back to life has been emotional in the best way. 🥹
There’s still a ton left to do, but little by little the warmth and good kinda weirdness, are coming back. 🌈✨

Getting blown up was NOT on our 2025 bingo card. But here we are.
After months of rebuilding, continued challenges with insurance companies, cleaning glitter out of places glitter should never exist, working with contractors, repainting walls, rebuilding displays, and basically resurrecting this strange,,beautiful, colorful and artful, crystalline home- we are FINALLY reopening.
And yes - we’re opening whether every last tiny detail is done or not. At some point you just throw open the doors, light the candles, turn up the music, and let life happen again.
✨ 15-20 local makers & artists from 3-8✨ Special drinks & bar specials at TBB’s✨ Live music throughout the day and night✨ Community, music, shopping, chaos, sparkle, survival and rising above!
MUSIC:🎶 Acoustic duo in the afternoon🎶 Lars and the Big Sticky🎶 Neon Prairie Dogs🎶 Slow Children
This is also our march into Year SIX of The Crystal Guide somehow existing in this universe, which to be fair, feels slightly unbelievable some days.😍
The shop is finally coming back to life. Shelves are going up. The floors are sparkling again. The crystals will be moving back home soon. Local artists dropping off new wares already. And we cannot WAIT to see everybody back in the space.🙌✨
Come celebrate with us. Seriously. 🥹We missed you.

We’re close enough to taste it.🙌
Yesterday I went to the shop and had one of those very real moments where excitement and holy-wow👀-that’s-a-lot show up at the same time. We are getting ready for our Grand Reopening, and the final stretch is here.
That means cleaning, rebuilding, replacing what was damaged, organizing years of magic back into place, and doing it all while navigating the famously glamorous world of insurance delays after a once in a lifetime’s explosion. (Spoiler: it is not glamorous. At all. In any way. In fact they should probably call it human torture.)
But we are moving forward. And it’s going to be beautiful.😻
If you’ve been asking how to help, here are a few ways the community can make a huge difference right now:
* Gift cards: to places like Lowe’s, ace hardware, Costco, target, Ross etc- or any local store we can help support in this way (preferred) - we need to replace, deep clean and or fix lots of things that aren’t covered at this time
* Clean, gently used rugs - seeking 3
* Large display hutches/cabinets (black, white, or natural wood)
* Planters, trellises, grass patches for the front area
* Mural touch-up help
* Strong arms for move-in / organizing days
We’re also happy to purchase the right furniture pieces and things above, and pay for the labor at a fair price, and are always deeply grateful for donations of any kind.
Please know: if you offer labor, payment may be delayed until claim funds are resolved. I hate even having to say that, but honesty matters here.
This season has asked a lot of all of us. But it has also reminded me what community and resiliency really is. And how important the work of the spirit truly is. 🤍
We are still here.
We are still building.
We are still becoming something even better.
Grand Reopening details, makers market vendor call, and live music announcements coming next.
If you’d like to help, send us a message. If we’re slow to reply, it just means we’re covered in dust and carrying heavy things and of course- all the super charged crystals.💥⚡️😻
