And just like that, another summer of clerkships is done! We're so grateful to have hosted another amazing intern from University of Oregon, Filsun Omer.

Here's what Filsun had to say about her internship:

"Through my internship this summer at The Commons Law Center, I gained a lot of hands-on experience as a legal clerk, mainly working with the eviction law team and helping tenants navigate some of the most difficult situations they faced. I got to conduct client intakes, assist with filings, attend courthouses, work with real-time legal resources and confidential information, and contribute to side data projects, while also shadowing the family law team and learning about different areas of practice.

This experience helped me build my communication, research, and advocacy skills, connect with professionals in the field, and ultimately helped me recognize that pursuing a career in law is something I am genuinely passionate about."
