Fade Theory is a DJ mix series focused on movement, groove, and strong selections across techno, electro, and bass-driven tracks. Episode one lets flow take priority over genre, with high energy and a steady build throughout.

3 years with this amazing woman! I love you
Modular synth every day challenge comes to an end at day 63. I truly appreciate everyone’s feedback and support along the way. This daily practice meant a lot to me and helped push my creativity forward in ways I didn’t expect.
I’ll definitely be doing this challenge again. For now, I need to spend some time focused on some other great things that are coming up.
Take care of yourself!

Day 63
I spent soooo much time today studying. Definitely not the most fun day, not gonna lie. I was in the house grinding math all day and barely had time to work on my idea today.
It’s a bit simple, but I’m thankful I was still able to make something. Gonna keep it moving and hope tomorrow feels a little better.

Day 62
I’ve been recovering the last few days from not feeling well, and the state of the world has been weighing heavy on me too. I’ve been trying to catch up on some projects I have this month that I’m really excited about.
I took some time to rearrange my modules and put the things I use and fiddle with the most closer to where I’m sitting, so I’m not stretching my arms all over the place as much. I’m starting to imagine some newer modules I’ve been scoping out in my setup and removing some of the older ones I’ve outgrown. Spending time with this setup the last few days has really highlighted what I’m missing.
Be blessed

Day 61
Pretty nice day. Slept in and enjoyed a great lunch with Ash and had an amazing bánh mì. Then I stopped by Control Voltage and looked at some potential new modules for the rig. I’m definitely at the point where a few pieces need to be retired and replaced with things that better suit where I’m headed.
Went to class and learned about circuit simulations in LTspice, then headed home to make this. This one was tough. I had a hard time finding something I felt good about posting and didn’t really enjoy the process today. Still, I’m grateful I got to noodle around in the evening and spend time with the system.
Have a great weekend

Day 60.
Honestly, I can’t believe I’m here.
Starting a brand-new patch cracked something open again. It reminded me that creativity isn’t just lightning from the sky; it’s a receiver. And that receiver only works if you tune it daily.
Immense love and gratitude to my fiancé Ash for holding space while I disappear into cables for hours… days… now months. This process has reshaped how I understand my own creativity. Yes, inspiration can hit out of nowhere, but being ready for it is a muscle you have to train.
I started this challenge to reconnect with modular from a playful place, to shake off stagnation, and to get my creative instincts flowing again. Somewhere along the way, it became much more than that.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you to anyone who’s watched even one clip, left a kind word, or offered a thoughtful critique. You’ve helped carry this farther than I expected.
Grateful. Always.

Day 59
Spent another day at home recovering. Did a buttload of math homework 🥲 and sat through like 3 hours of online class. All business at the house. Midterms are coming up, and I’ve basically been studying math nonstop, just praying I make it through this, y’all.
The state of the world has me feeling pretty heavy too. Everything feels absurd, but somehow I can’t look away. I'm just trying to stay positive and not let that darkness dim my light.
Hope you’re all taking care of your mental with everything floating around right now.

Day 58
Spent the day at home resting and recovering. Started feeling a little off last night, so I kept it low-key gaming and resting.
Not much to report today. More tomorrow.
Hope you’re having a great night.

Day 56.
It’s time for a re-patch. I’m going to breathe some new life and creativity into my rig over the next few days and explore some new options. The last few days of the challenge have felt a little stale. I’ve been getting stuck in the same operations and approaches. So starting tomorrow, I’m pulling all the cables, dusting everything off, and starting fresh.
I hope your Monday was great!

Day 56 was great. I went through a brief orientation for something I’m really excited to share soon, then spent the rest of the day with my fiancé Ash just hanging out, eating, and gaming. I’m especially thankful for the slower pace today. It really made me appreciate what life’s been bringing my way lately. Grateful for the people in my corner, a place to be, and a person to love. It’s a beautiful thing.
Be blessed
