Life with diabetes is complicated. Access to vital insulin and diabetes supplies should not be. More at www.t1international.com

We believe in a world where everyone with type 1 diabetes – no matter where they live – has everything they need to survive and achieve their dreams. We support local communities by giving them the tools they need to stand up for their rights so that access to insulin and diabetes supplies becomes a reality for all.

This year, T1International started the Public Pharma Working Group. A global research group focused on investigating public pharma and the capacity to manufacture insulin and essential supplies outside of the private sector. Five global advocates and partners have written a report detailing their research in order to raise awareness and expand the public pharma movement.

At T1International, we know that everyone living with diabetes deserves access to the tools that work best for their bodies, including accurate, affordable, and accessible continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices that keep them safe and healthy.

If you have lost a loved one due to inaccurate CGM readings, reach out to Families United For Affordable Insulin (FUFAI) and T1International Ambassador Nicole Smith-Holt at [email protected]

And, if unaffordable, inaccessible, or unsafe CGMs have impacted you in any way, we want to hear your story. Share it with us here: https://buff.ly/OhmNBfF

People with diabetes across the US are still rationing insulin, skipping doses, or sacrificing other basic needs to afford their medication.

The INSULIN Act could help by expanding the $35 copay cap to people with private insurance.

But the House version introduced in September 2026 strips out protections for people without insurance that were in the Senate bill.

Medicaid cuts and drastically rising insurance premiums are increasing the uninsured population in the United States. People without insurance deserve real policy protections, not reliance on handouts and goodwill.

Your voice matters. If you live in the United States, tell your Representative to support the INSULIN Act and demand it protects people without insurance.

"Cooperative advocacy led by people with diabetes can create connections, build confidence, and — when done the right way — give people true agency over their own narrative." In response to a recent BMJ article, T1International Founder Elizabeth Pfiester examines the balance between how we approach language while fighting for global change and . Insulin is not optional. Since late February, people with diabetes in Iran have been living through war and now a fragile ceasefire, facing skyrocketing insulin prices, disappearing supply, and insurance that hasn't kept pace. We heard from three women living with type 1 diabetes in Iran, who shared what they're seeing on the ground. Read their story on our blog: https://buff.ly/i45kKQG
