Back in the airport to head home for the Black Cat Book Fair tomorrow 11-6 and Sunday 1-5! (And even wearing my shirt from last year! 😂) Looking forward to seeing y’all and slinging prints! I’ll have all the prints & stickers in this deck with me - including the donation prints for Remain Rooted Direct Aid to G a z a. We’re at $440 & counting with those so far - can you help us double that this weekend?
I can’t wait to tell you more about the Look Loud training this week - every single minute was packed full of learning and making and thinking and building, which made it hard to report out in real time. But I’m going to give you some more details & behind the scenes about it next week, after I land back in Portland tonight & do the book fair all weekend. 🙃 Grateful to be in community with so many folks thinking & working strategically about how we win the world we want. See you out there. 💗💗💗

I’ve had a movement crush on for years, and right this minute I am on my way to Philly to participate in their week-long Visual Strategy Intensive (offered through ) with my dear friend & comrade & badass organizer ✨Kendall Mackey✨!! This is such a dream - and I’m so excited that I forgot to order my coffee decaf. 😬 (Stay tuned for how that goes...)
In Look Loud’s words, this training “is a deep dive into the practical mechanics and theory of how visuals help our movements build power.” Let’s gooooooo (my words 😂)
I’m so excited to get back to Maine with Kendall & share our learning, especially with orgs that are doing deportation defense, protecting trans kids & supporting trans young people & adults, fighting for a free P a l e s t i n e, and defending local elections.
Thank you so much to my community whose love & support (including material support!) is making this whole experience possible for me.
Words of encouragement, wisdom, camaraderie are welcome all week! 💗🙏🏻🔌💥💪🏻🪧💕

YOU: Someone who believes in the power of political art and wants a concrete action to take in solidarity with the people of G a z a TODAY.
ME: A political printmaker who collaborated with a friend & co-organizer to create a letterpress print for Remain Rooted (Remain Rooted Direct Aid), our mutual aid project that has moved over $170K to our contacts in G a z a who are engaged in projects of community care and collective survival.
THE ACTION: Visit radicalemprints.com and buy a print (or multiple prints for friends) on the sliding scale of $20 - $100. If you can become a monthly sustainer, you will help us to support an additional, new camp of 43 displaced people in G a z a. Both links are in my bio.
THE RESULT: 100% of the profits will go to Remain Rooted and will be on its way to G a z a within days or weeks. Our goal is to get funds into people’s hands as often as we can. Direct aid continues to be a lifeline.
Thanks to Hanoun Brass Band and New Orleans Musicians For Palestine for the beautiful soundtrack.

Just leaving these here for all my fellow introverts who push through to do the spade work of organizing on the daily. (Got a staff or team who could use these for the midterms? Orgs get wholesale prices - 50% off.)
Electoral politics will never save us and also these midterms will determine the terrain we are organizing on for decades to come so let’s hold some complexity and do the things that need doing - especially locally.

Hi! Here’s my awkward photo face to say a few things: I’m going to be vending at First Friday this week at SPACE Gallery from 4-7pm with a few other lovely folks, so come say hi! Also - I’ve just listed two new sticker situations in the shop (wholesale shop & faire too!): a sticker sheet (!!) of the full set of anti-capitalist love notes (with an extra “you’re worth so much more than your productivity” bc we all need that, right?) And QU**RS BEFORE CAPITAL is now a sweet little glitter sticker in addition to its original print form! Everything is hard and stickers sure don’t solve that, but maybe they can remind you that these algorithms lie and our love is more powerful than profits? I hope so. Keep fighting, keep kissing your friends, keep drinking water, keep being sand in the gears of capitalism. Love & solidarity. 🥖🥖🥖🌹🌹🌹

Work in progress. Not pictured: reading the news, crying, setting type, crying, mixing ink, crying, feeling stuck, crying. F**k I C E, f**k empire, f**k capitalism, f**k patriarchy, f**k white supremacy, f**k AI, f**k every single system that constantly delivers devastating loss. We shouldn’t have to live like this. Keep reaching for each other. I’m gonna keep reaching for you, okay? Will you do the same? 💙

I wrote “A Grounding” in 2021, in deep early pandemic days. I remember getting up one morning and sitting down at my desk, sort of desperate for some guidance, direction, something to help me move with intention & principle no matter what happened next. I thought about all the lessons that I’d had over 9ish years of organizing in a workers’ center, all the actions I’d observed that folks around me were taking to stay both steady and ready to fight - and I made myself a list.
And when I first released A Grounding, several people asked if I would make “fight with the tools that are uniquely yours” into its own print. I did, and now for years it has been one that people really resonate with - grateful to be in conversation with folks about what sentiments hit.
Being in principled motion is an antidote to despair. It is so much harder to be in principled motion if you’re not working on being (some version of) grounded. So here’s a humble offering of ways to get grounded. See you out there.
