Yes… but editing has always been my favorite part.

Not because I get to “fix” the photo.

Because that’s usually where the photo comes to life.

The camera captures the moment.
Editing lets me tell the story the way it lives in my head.

Maybe that’s why my photos always end up looking like they’re pulled from a daydream.

And honestly…
I’m okay with that.

These photos were taken two years ago.

On a 100° day in September. Even my sweat was sweating.

Crazy what a couple years will do.

Your editing style changes.
Your eye changes.
Even the photos you choose to share change.

Moral of the story, homies:
Go dig through the archives every once in a while.
You might find a few hidden gems waiting for you.

There are definitely a few I’ve missed.

It’s been one hell of a journey. Thousands of photos, 8 publications, countless memories, and the chance to meet so many incredible people along the way.

There have been highs and lows. Burnout, creative sparks, moments of doubt, and moments that reminded me exactly why I picked up a camera in the first place. I wouldn’t change any of it.

Thank you for all the support over the years, and for letting me share the way I see the world.

Every time I go to Canon Beach, i always seem to find myself down this path.

Amazing path, terrible parking.

Haven’t shot this spot in years.

This was one of the first places I ever shot when I started photography in Portland.

Still goated.

What’s one location you’ll never get tired of shooting?

Book the studio.
Bring the camera.

It’s funny how often those end up being my favorite sessions.
