Underground Dance Music from:
-The Pacific Northwest
-West Coast
-and Beyond
Peace Portal began as a way to share the sounds of the growing dance music scene in the Pacific Northwest from the small but noisy town of Bellingham, Washington. Over the course of it's 5 years, Peace Portal has grown into an outlet for underground dance music from the Pacific Northwest, down the West Coast, and beyond through two radio shows on non-commercial radio stations, feature write-ups and interviews on the Peace Portal blog, and the occasional party. Radio Shows:
Peace Portal:
Third Thursdays at 3pm catch an exclusive mix, accompanied by an interview with the featured guest via the Peace Portal website, broadcast on KZAX Bellingham. Perspectives:
Every other Saturday at 10am, all-vinyl global groove expeditions hand selected from Feu du Camp's collection, broadcast on Freeform Portland.
Final spotlight: Feu du Camp & Klaytron ๐ฆ
Two sides of the same record, these boys. They take the business of partying very serious. Klaytron the mischievous rave machine, and Feu du Camp the subtle slow burning speaker freak. Hundreds of records between em, obsessively collected for moments just like those we'll share tomorrow.
Catch Forrest & Clay on direct support for tomorrow from 6-8pm

Cecilia Powers is a force to be reckoned with. A DJ, producer, and activist based in Portland, Oregon, Cecilia is committed to dance music, anti-displacement work, sonic resistance, and investigating the intersections of the three.
Musically educated by a youth spent in record stores, tuned into bombastic Atlanta radio broadcasts, and eventually nights spent in hazy London nightclubs, Ceciliaโs approach is a fierce, technically informed, reckless abandon - prioritizing expression over perfection. From her riotous productions such as the Unlawful Assembly EP (Sorry Records), to her explosive sets (demonstrated here), C Powers remains armed with rebelliously weaponized frequencies.
Professionally, Cecilia has spent years on the frontlines of tenant activism. Before building this movement in Portland through her work with Donโt Evict PDX & Train Wreck, she was co-organizing rent strikes with undocumented citizens in L.A. with the Los Angeles Tenants Union. Cecilia has remained a persistent voice in Portland for those underrepresented in the music scene as well.
