Some of my fondest memories are of me as a little girl adorning my body with clothes, and accessories. In high school my mom bought me a mannequin and a sewing machine so I could reconstruct and embellish my clothes. I wanted to go to fashion design school but didn’t know I needed a portfolio for college application. After a crushed heart I decided to take the path laid out in front of me. I was naturally gifted in math, science, and healing work so that is where I went. How unsurprising after twenty years in the healing arts, entrepreneurship and inevitably working through my own healing process, I find myself here. Allowing myself to love what I love. I know if I had the portfolio but lacked the healing skills and business grit I have now, it wouldn’t have worked out anyway🌻 all in divine timing my love…

Inspired by Lúnasa, the first harvest on the Wheel of The Year, we gather to honor these moments of abundance, to celebrate what we have built, practice the art of receiving, and share our gifts with one another.
Over oysters, wine, coastal fare, and conversation, we’ll explore the realities of creating something of our own - the risks, the choices, the strategy, and the courage it takes to begin again with every new season along the spiral path.
This is an evening to celebrate the women who aren’t afraid to take the art from their hearts and share it with the world.

Part II of personal shopping at Maine Needs and sharing more of the process with you! I love that my DMs are filled with questions on how to get involved. Maineneeds.org has all the info on volunteering, donating money and items along with drop off times (don’t leave them at the door!). They typically list what is most needed at any given time along with what they don’t accept. If you’re planning to donate items please wash, fold and avoid brining ones that have holes or stains.💛
Maine Needs
It’s just as important to learn how to receive as it is to give.
When I allow myself to receive life’s blessings, ask for what I need, and build a life where my own chalice overflows, I’m able to give from abundance instead of depletion.
I’m interested in building businesses that don’t give back through self-sacrifice, but because generosity is embedded into the very structure they stand on.
That, to me, is part of The Ways of the Feminine in Business.
We learn to receive, build and hold wealth.
And when our own chalice overflows, we pour it back into our communities in ways that feel deeply aligned.
For me, that’s Maine Needs and helping Mainers all over the state get their basic needs met🩵

Toward the beginning of the year I started feeling drawn to scheduling “work days” that looked a little bit differently. I never imagined how many incredibly generous, open hearted, gifted human beings I’d get to meet along the way. I’ve become “that social media girl” Maine Needs and it warms my heart every time someone stops to chat about it.
Maine Needs is something really special, and I’m so grateful to be a tiny part of this community.

Things I find kinda chic. Last one is my favorite💋
I love feeding people both metaphorically and literally. And I’ve designed The Creator’s Table for women in business so they leave with a full belly and soul❤️🔥 A little trip to the farmer’s market today brought the inspiration for what I’ll be cooking up for us. Think Maine lobster rolls, an oyster bar, shrimp cocktail, seasonal salads with an abundance of fresh herbs, homemade sourdough and local butter, cupcakes from European Bakery …oh and a bar stocked with a harvest mocktail, cold rosè, and sauvvy sauvvy b.

You pour months (or years) into building something out of nothing. You launch, make the sale, take the blood pumping risk, create the thing, and put yourself out there.
And instead of pausing and going “holy s**t, look what I built”, two seconds later you’re onto the next goal.
What if instead you saw your business, your brand, or your body of work as a living thing with a soul and wisdom of its own?
On the wheel of the year we arrive at Lunasa, the halfway point between summer solstice and autumn equinox.
It’s not time to plant seeds, it’s time to harvest. To celebrate how far we’ve come, what we’ve built, and to open up and receive the blessings that are already on their way to us.
