Bargaining Session No. SEVEN ✅ Your b-team presented articles on APL, Holidays, and Retirement!

We requested:
➡️ Increased APL accrual rates
➡️ APL bumped at 3 years (compared to 5)
➡️ Paid holidays separate from APL
➡️ Extra Cultural Day
➡️ 2 additional Holidays
➡️ Retirement contributions every pay period
➡️ Increased retirement contributions match

🚩🚩🚩 Legacy Leadership rejected our proposal on employment practices around flexibility and work-life balance.

Last Tuesday, 5/19, the bargaining team met *in person* with Legacy leadership, and we presented a strong 💪 proposal on education time and funds for our members. 📚👨‍🏫🩺🔬

We believe supporting staff education will directly benefit our patients, and promote professional growth and staff retention.

The bargaining team is back at the table June 2nd!

Today, Legacy Union Professionals delivered petitions to leadership with a ⭐️ supermajority ⭐️ of member signatures at Good Sam (Pic 1), Emanuel (Pic 2), Randall (Pic 3), and Mt. Hood (Pic 4). Our collective action makes a difference - thank you union members for showing up!

“Every day we provide vital care for vulnerable patients, but we can only provide the highest quality care with a skilled team and the ability to care for our families and afford to live in our community. We call on Legacy Executives to work with us to quickly settle a strong first contract with:
• Powerful Protections: Strong contract language to uphold our values and professional role as patient advocates.
• A Safe Workplace: Clear authority and pathways to urgently address safety issues for staff and patients, especially the most vulnerable in our community.
• Wages That Respect Our Skill: Competitive wages and a transparent scale to recruit and RETAIN top, experienced talent.
• Investment in Excellence: Dedicated funding for continuing education and professional development to ensure cutting-edge care.
•Fairness and Dignity: Transparent, equitable processes and due process rights for respectful treatment of every team member.”
