Waterstone Gallery is thrilled to present Nocturnal Worlds, Kindra Crick’s first solo exhibition at the gallery this October.

Combining neuroscience and art, Crick’s exhibition explores deep sleep, dreams, and insomnia. Crick transforms over a year’s worth of personal brainwave recordings and sleep journals into paintings, prints and installations. Rhythmic wave patterns evoke deep sleep, while vivid colors and imagery give form to dreams. Moths swarm across the work as a metaphor for the restless thoughts of insomnia. The work pairs data with subjective experience to map the mind’s elusive inner landscapes.
