Bike tours are booking up for the summer and it is our favorite thing to hear (we hear it a lot!) “this is the best way to see a city!” — for years we have been considering launching a tour called “the best way to see the city is by bike.” This week our wonderful guests included an ex-Army vet on a pilgrimage; two lovely engineers who have lived on the west side of Portland for eight years but never explored the east; families from the whole country over; couples from California in their honeymoon! Come ride bikes with us!

the new Alberta Arts history walking tour is blessed with a nonstop array of color both outside and shining from within the people and businesses on this historic street. the neighborhood started with a streetcar and grew with redline policies that changed the neighborhood’s makeup. despite rising housing prices and gentrification, the neighborhood holds on fiercely to its history and people and it is our goal to celebrate this honestly, with love and a critical eye to how easy it is to displace the people who made this neighborhood glow. find the tour available on our website, most days 11 am and 2:30 pm.

it may be grey in Portland lately… but our city is so full of color and life.
