We are honored to be a part of so many weddings each year; 2026 wedding season is in full swing and there has been no shortage of magical photos to remember them by. Locust Grove was pleased to participate in the Wappingers Historical Society’s 125th Anniversary Dahlia Show on September 19th. Our arrangement of dahlia’s from our gardens took 2nd Place in “The American Garden: Celebrating REV 250!”.

Landscape designer and author Jana Milbocker spoke about her new book, Gardens of the Gilded Age, at today's fundraiser to benefit our ongoing garden restoration. Afternoon tea was provided by Sugar & Spice Cafe and Spice Catering and featured recipes from our archives and tea from Harney and Harney & Sons Fine Teas . Hudson Valley Seed Co. generously donated poppy seeds for our favors. An extra thank you to Matt and Natalie, who got married at Licust Grove on Saturday and allowed us to repurpose their florals, all of which where grown by Natalie's mom and sister. We are already planning next year's tea; if you missed today's event and would like to purchase a copy kf Jana Milbocker's book a limited number of signed copies are available in our shop.

Sunday's Afternoon Tea will feature recipes from our archives, prepared by Sugar & Spice Cafe and Spice Catering and featuring tea from Harney & Sons Fine Teas. It all sounds delicious....we hope you will join us!
