This week in serendipitous Princeton Alumni reunions, Meg Andrews '05 (now a professor at Harvard's Department of the Classics) found herself aboard a joint Princeton Journeys–Harvard Alumni Travels cruise of the Aegean—lecturing alongside her former Princeton professor Denis Feeney!

"It’s been 20 years since I was in a class with Denis, so it was really great for us to have a chance to traipse around Greece together all this time later."

For starting our year's evening lecture series off with a bang, bravo to University of Toronto, Department of Classics Prof. Dylan Kenny—or, as Prof. Josh Billings remembered him in his introduction, "one of the first and most brilliant undergrads I ever taught!"

Happy Publication Day to Prof. Bob Kaster, whose new edition of Cicero's Tusculan Disputations is available today from Oxford Academic (Oxford University Press)!

"The first such edition to appear in the Oxford Classical Text series, and first new edition to appear anywhere in over forty years, it is based on the most extensive survey to date of the medieval manuscripts and a generous sampling of the humanistic copies, and on a thorough familiarity with more than fifty previous editions... The edition makes available the most reliable text to date of perhaps the most accessible of Cicero's philosophica."

Congratulations to the newly minted Dr. Chiara Battisti on completing her doctorate AND beginning a prestigious fellowship with the SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies at SFU!

"After defending my dissertation on Roman Republican magistrates in Greek sanctuaries, I am delighted to be joining Simon Fraser University as the 2026–2027 Hellenisms Past and Present, Local and Global Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies. During the fellowship, I will continue developing my research on cultural brokerage in antiquity, while also expanding my interests in the intellectual and cultural history of the Greek diaspora and exploring connections between ancient and modern Hellenisms. I am grateful to everyone who supported me throughout this journey and excited for the research, teaching, and new collaborations of the year ahead."
