Cambridge Quilt Design

I like quilting, and bagmaking, and miniature things, soooo- when I saw this pattern from Shabby Fabrics, I had to try. Had second thoughts about halfway through, but it was fun and turned out very cute. The kit has enough fabric for 10 little bags.

This was the most intricate quilt I’ve made, to date. It is a kit from Shabby Fabrics that uses 16 different beautiful fabrics. I took my time and enjoyed the process.

Playing with a new pattern, this one is sometimes called a celtic twist. These little table runners are a fun way to use up some fabrics. Which one do you like better?

The snowflakes were flying yesterday, so I decided it was time to finish this Christmas quilt I started last year.

A while ago a joined a group called Quilts Of Valor, whose mission is to create a handmade quilt for each veteran or service member touched by war. Thousands have been awarded every year. This is my first one which is being done as a block of the month, meaning a portion of the pattern is published each month until it is completed. I am learning so many new techniques with this challenging quilt. This is three months so far!

This is my latest art quilt, inspired by Tiffany stained glass windows.

I’m working on an art quilt and trying some new techniques. I usually hate how it looks at this stage, but showing promise. Stay tuned!

New queen sized quilt finished! The pattern is the Quilt Factory’s Chain Link. The fabric is Lilac and Iris. This one I’m keeping for myself. I have enough fabric leftover to make some pillow shams too.
