First Baptist Prosper
Welcome to First Baptist Prosper. We would love to connect with you! Please join us each Sunday morning @ 10:45!
How does knowing you are a child of God, fully loved and accepted, change the way you approach Him each day?
If the law can’t save us, why did God give it to us in the first place?
That’s an important question when we read Galatians 3. The law is good, but God never intended it to do what only Christ could do.
Pastor Scott takes a couple of minutes to unpack the purpose of the law and how understanding it helps us better understand the grace we have been given in Jesus.
Here’s this week’s follow-up from our Galatians series.

Join us this Sunday for Grace Unchained: What to Do When Religion Fails, as we continue our study through Galatians. Come discover the freedom found in God’s grace!
Every day, we wake up with the default belief that we have to earn God’s favor. But the Gospel reminds us that we never could. We need to fall into the arms of Jesus every single day, resting in the grace that has already been given to us. It isn’t about what we can earn. It’s about what He has already done.
What does it mean to you personally that we are made righteous through faith in Christ, rather than by trying to earn our way to God?
If we know we’re saved by grace, why do we so often live like everything depends on us?
It’s easy to trust Christ for salvation and then slowly slip back into measuring our Christian life by how well we’re doing.
Pastor Scott takes a few minutes to revisit this idea from Galatians 3 and talk about why we struggle to live in the same grace that saved us.
Here’s this week’s follow-up from our Galatians series.
Amazing grace reminds us that Christ’s love was never something we had to earn. His love is unconditional; His grace sets us free, and through Him we can walk out of the bo***ge of striving, performance, and trying to prove our worth. We are free because He loves us, not because we have earned it.
What would change in your life if you truly lived like you never had to earn Christ’s love?
