The day I understood that not everyone who smiles with me is my friend, I stopped seeking approval and started protecting my peace. Not every handshake is loyalty.
Not every compliment is genuine. Not every person cheering for you wants to see you win. Some people enter your life for a season, some for a lesson, and a few for a lifetime. The day I learned this, I became more careful with my energy, more intentional with my circle, and more grateful for the people who truly stand beside me. Trust God to reveal people’s intentions, and never let someone else’s actions change the kindness in your heart.
