With the nor’easter bringing unsafe weather and heavy coastal winds, today is definitely a day to stay indoors. It's a great day to log some treadmill miles or take a well-deserved rest day to recover!

URGENT REMINDER FOR JAMESTOWN RUNNERS

If you need to make a change to your registration, choices must be submitted via the email link by today, Saturday, 9/26 by 6:59 AM.

Your Options:

1. Run the Narragansett Half Course (10/25): No action needed! Just pick up your bib at any OSRR pick-up location (Jamestown line—no reservation needed). You'll receive your Jamestown bib, shirt, and medal while running the Narragansett course.

2. Transfer to the W**e Run (10/17): Submit via the email link.

3. Switch to Virtual: Complete your distance on your own terms by Oct 25th, and we’ll mail your shirt and medal next week. (Visit your RunSignUp Profile to switch under "Manage Registration" and then "Switch Event".

🚨 POSTPONEMENT NOTICE: 2026 Jamestown Rhode Races 🚨
Due to unsafe, extreme weather conditions brought on by the incoming nor’easter, and in close collaboration with the Town of Jamestown Police, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Jamestown Rhode Races on Saturday and move the registrations to the Narragansett Half Marathon course on 10/25.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. Your safety is our absolute priority, and we are just as heartbroken as you are that we won't be running together this weekend.

NEXT STEPS & OPTIONS: As outlined in our event guidelines, Rhode Races events take place rain or shine, but extreme weather creates conditions where we must put safety first. Per our event policy, refunds are not issued for severe weather cancellations due to non-recoverable logistical planning costs. However, we want to keep you running!

Please choose one of the following options by Saturday at 6:59 AM:

1. Race with us on 10/25 at the Narragansett Half Marathon. No action is needed on your part. Please check in at the specific Jamestown check-in line at any of the OSRR bib pickup times and locations. No race day bib pickup reservation is needed. You will receive a Jamestown bib, shirt, and finisher medal, but run the Narragansett Half course.
2. Transfer to the W**e Run on October 17th.
3. Switch to Virtual: Complete your distance on your own terms before October 25th, and we will mail your official shirt and finisher medal to you next week.

We have been in discussions with our partners in Jamestown with another meeting planned for this afternoon regarding Saturday's half marathon.

As the forecast starts to form up, we will provide an update later today or early tomorrow morning as to the status of the race.
