Happy 1-year anniversary to Jaseem, Drop-In Center Specialist at our Providence Drop-In! 🎉

Jaseem not only brings a calm and steady energy to the space every singe day, but he also works hard to fill whatever need comes up while supporting each and every person who walks through our doors.

Whether he's managing the laundry and showers, making sure people have food, or simply being a calm presence to listen, Jaseem shows up for our community every single day.

We’re so grateful for Jaseem and everything he brings to PWR. Happy 1 year! 💙

Have you had a chance to check out our 2025 Annual Report yet?

2025 brought an incredible amount of unexpected challenges, but it also showed us the strength of our community and what we can accomplish together. We served more people than ever before and expanded the ways we were able to support our community.

Take a look when you have a chance and see what your support made possible. 💜

We are so excited to announce that Ash, a local artist here in PVD, is the winner of this year’s International Overdose Awareness Day T-shirt contest! 🎨 You can check out more of Ash’s work at .

Our committee absolutely loved this design and felt that it really resonated with this year’s theme: 25 Years On, Still Needed.

Thank you so much to everyone who submitted a design. We truly love being able to involve our community in this process and see the creativity, thought, and care that people bring to IOAD each year. 💜

Mark your calendars for this year's International Overdose Awareness Day!

Join us on Tuesday, September 1st as we recognize International Overdose Awareness Day with a statewide Narcan distribution and an evening vigil honoring those we've lost to overdose. This year, our goal is to distribute 5,000 Narcan kits across Rhode Island. We'll be at locations throughout the state, providing free Narcan, demonstrating how to use it, and sharing why carrying it can save a life.

Overdose is preventable. By challenging the stigma surrounding drug use and overdose, we can build a future where no one dies from a preventable overdose.
