Pulled out my trusty Monet book for inspiration today.❤️ I’ve had this book since middle school and I’ve read it so many times that its been falling apart for years.

I also had a huge crush on Monet. 😂 While everyone else was crushing on boy bands, I was over here crushing on Claude Monet.

Anyone else have a favorite book that’s been loved to death? What is it? 🙂

I think this is why I enjoy senior sessions so much. We found a new spot and just went exploring. I went with whatever caught my eye. Those are usually the sessions that end up with my favorite photos.

When I tell you I'm picking and choosing what I photograph now and focusing on the work that inspires me the most... this is what I mean.

A beautiful little wedding in the most beautiful location, and a really awesome couple who trusted me enough to let me photograph the day as it happened. :)

While I focused on taking mostly candid and catching emotions. Instead of having a set time to take their photos together I just pulled them aside whenever I noticed a cool shot.

Those are the kinds of days that remind me why I love being a photographer.

Looking back, I'm way happier I took photos like this of my kids than if I had made them stand there and smile.
