Our national parks need our help. The National Park Service has an almost $23 billion dollar maintenance backlog. No one wants to drive on crumbling roads to a neglected campground or find trails closed when they’re trying to enjoy nature.

Congress needs to reauthorize funding for fixing our parks.

The Senate is working on a bi-partisan bill that would reauthorize funding but the House of Representatives hasn’t acted yet.

Thank you Representative Seth Magaziner & Congressman Gabe Amo for cosponsoring the Great American Outdoors Act 250. This bipartisan bill will fund projects in places like Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge and Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge.

Instant solar permitting passes Rhode Island House. Rooftop solar builds a cleaner, greener future because it allows us to harness energy right where we need it, on the roofs of our homes. This would streamline the permitting process for home solar systems by instituting a statewide electronic solar permitting platform. This will make it easier, faster and cheaper for Rhode Island families to put solar panels on their homes to make their own energy.
