134 Collaborative is a nonprofit organization that builds community collaborations & partnerships in the areas of health, education & the arts
We are a collaborative of nonprofit organizations & programs housed in the Mathewson Street Church building in Downtown Providence. We host a wide range of non-religious human service activities & programs during the week, such as a soup kitchen, educational programs for at-risk youth, and support services for Rhode Islanders living with mental illness. Many of these services are not only made possible through direct partnerships with other non profits but also through 134 Collaborative facilitating additional collaborations, administrative oversight, sharing of resources and volunteer recruitment to help make the programming sustainable. The 134 Collaborative envisions a center for diverse populations that will come together in the historic Mathewson Street Church building. The center will combine the values embedded in an urban church community with nonprofit intent in order to serve as a center that builds community within the larger urban frame.

A great collaboration between Brown University Health and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island at this month's free health clinic. They will team up again on Friday, October 16th from 3-5 pm for a Flu Shot Clinic and enrollment support for BCBSRI Medicare & Medicaid insurance programs.

Rhode Island Coalition to End Homelessness ~ Voices of Homelessness Speakers Bureau members, Jacqueline, Wendy & Wilma, were on-site last week to recruit more members who have lived experience with homelessness.
