Our annual Back-to-School Barbecue is our favorite way to kick off the new school year! ❤️🍔 There’s nothing better than seeing our Beloved Community come together again! Here’s to another great year, Cougars! 🎉
There was clearly LOTS of excitement as our sixth graders put their engineering skills to the test! Students built popsicle stick bridges, then tested how much weight their structures could hold. 🧱

On August 31, we gathered to celebrate the installation of Adolphus B. “Dolph” Clinton ’88 as our Head of School.
The evening brought together generations of the Community Prep community, including current students, alumni, faculty, trustees, family, friends, and CP’s first-ever Board Chair.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared their stories, reflections, and words of welcome throughout the ceremony, and to all who joined us to celebrate Dolph and this meaningful moment in Community Prep’s history.
Thank you to our speakers and guests for making the evening so special. We are so grateful to Karen Adams for opening and closing the ceremony, and to the incredibly talented Alexus Lee ’06 for filling the evening with her beautiful voice, from the ceremony through the reception.
Welcome home, Dolph! ❤️

Mr. Clinton had another first day of school at Community Prep… this time as Head of School! 🎉
When Dolph graduated from CP in 1988, we’re pretty sure he never imagined he’d one day be back for another first day of school, let alone leading the school he once called home.
That’s the power of what’s possible: what starts as a first day can become a journey that brings you full circle! We can’t wait to see what’s possible this year! ❤️
