To be honest, it gets easier the older I get, but it’s still something I have to be very mindful of. Patterns and auto responses run so deep that I often have to question myself - “am I doing this because it lights me up / feels important for my growth? Or am I doing this out of fear, obligation, or some sort of funky programming I picked up somewhere?” Things tend to work out better for me when I follow my soul, I’ve noticed.
It’s been A WEEEEEEEK, let me tell you. I had to save my house from flooding, came down with a massive head cold, and I thought might die of rabies (buried the lead, there. Test came back negative, thank god). My nervous system is struggling.
I came across this video of when I was sat under an ancient Irish dolmen, enjoying my tea and I felt my jaw unclench. I leaned in and visualized that peaceful moment further and my nervous system began to gently unwind. I hope you’re also finding little moments of calm amidst the chaos right now. Borrow mine if you need one!
Let’s see if we notice any footprints today - even if they are our own.

Who else experiences this?
There’s something about water (like a hot shower or a fresh rain) that seems to open a direct line straight to my brain. Just me, the sound of water, and suddenly I’ve got an idea and all the steps mapped out. It’s like a whole download all at once.
I’ve stopped questioning it at this point. If I need to think clearly and get inspired, I for sure don’t open an app, I just immerse myself in water. It’s like my brain finally gets quiet enough to hear itself and everything I actually need just channels through. Anyone else?
