we were supposed to be in mallorca, spain right now 🇪🇸 but our flight to barcelona was canceled an hour before departure 😡, so we pivoted and headed to santa barbara instead.

it may not be spain, but after just one night here, i already love this place 🤎

we started this adventure thinking we’d finish around 1:00, be home baking chocolate chip cookies by 2:00, and make s’mookies around the fire that night. 🌙🔥

it ended up taking us almost twice as long as expected 😅 but luckily the views were ABSOLUTELY UNREAL to keep us going.

31 miles and 6,800 feet of climbing through golden aspen tunnels, wide-open mountain views, the steepest climbs, and some of the prettiest trails we’ve ever been on. ⛰️🍂⛰️

every time we thought we’d seen the best part, we’d turn a corner-and somehow it got even better.

it was so hard, but so rewarding—and honestly the coolest course we could’ve picked for our first 50K.
