Patchwork Preschool

Apple season at preschool is too much fun! Sing this Apple song for some guaranteed smiles and counting reinforcement.

Caution: This activity may be surprisingly satisfying! Tearing and gluing paper helps strengthen little fingers and build fine motor skills. And I’m addition we’re reinforcing recognition of the color brown. And the sound of all that tearing? It’s basically a little ASMR 🤎

It might as well be magic! How amazing that yellow + blue = green!

A glimpse into the cutest, organic conversation! I love the teamwork, creativity, camaraderie, willingness to help, and enthusiasm for a bucket of dinosaurs, I left on the table.

Apple patterns! Patterning is SO IMPORTANT for these little guys because it is a strong pre-math skill that teaches them to notice relationships, predict what comes next, and understand that things can follow consistent rules. We love building these foundational core habits that will be used throughout mathematics for the rest of their lives!

Start with one friend, then add another for each verse until everyone has joined the friendship circle! Sing this together to watch important social skills develop, help encourage friendships, and also sharpen their math skills by counting every friend between each round!

Working that daily grind 😉

Now on to: Friendship & Apples!

A fun rhythm-rhyme for the beginning of preschool to quickly assess our students’ knowledge of counting & colors. Now we know if we need to review these skills or build on them!

Feels so great to be back in the preschool classroom! 26-27 comin’ right up! 🎉

Oh how we adore watching our students grow ♥️
