Your headlamp is not lighting your trail. It is lighting whatever your neck happens to point at, including your buddy's eyes every time you turn to talk.

After years on a headlamp, the switch feels almost suspicious at first, like something's missing. What's missing is the bounce, the glare into your buddy's eyes when you turn to check the trail behind you, the forehead ache by mile eight. A strap-mounted light stays exactly where you clipped it because it's on your shoulder straps, not your skull, so it isn't fighting your own head movement the entire hike. This is what three hikers said after making the switch, read it and tell us which line sounds like you.
Hands-free light, right where you need it. 🔦
Straplights clip onto your backpack strap with velcro and put bright, rechargeable COB LED light on your chest or shoulder. No headlamp strap, no fumbling, no batteries to swap.
Built for hunters, hikers, campers, and anyone who works or plays after dark.

Three things a headlamp does to you on every night hike that nobody warns you about: it swings the second you turn to talk, it presses a ring into your forehead by mile six, and it fogs the second you pull a beanie over it. None of that is user error, it's the design. A light mounted on your shoulder straps instead of your skull can't do any of those three things, because it isn't attached to the part of your body that moves the most. Straplights clip onto the shoulder straps you already own and point exactly where your feet are going, hood or beanie or not. Which one of these three has ended your night hike early? Tell us below.

Everyone claims lumens. Not everyone shows you the trail lit up. This is the same stretch of dark path, twin 10W COB emitters throwing a 45 meter flood so you see the footing ahead, not just the ground at your toes. Straplights runs 600 lumens per unit and we would rather show you the beam than argue the number. Look at how far the light actually reaches before you take our word for anything.

Losing the light an hour before the summit used to mean one thing: turn around. Now it means clip on, keep climbing. Straplights throws a steady beam from your shoulder straps so the last stretch of trail is as visible as the first. This isn't about being reckless, it's about finishing what your legs still have left in them. What's the summit or the mile you almost didn't finish because of daylight?
