Matty Smackdown

Seven years ago tonight, WWE SmackDown made its debut on FOX, marking the beginning of what was then the most lucrative television contract in WWE history.

In the main event, Brock Lesnar defeated Kofi Kingston in seconds to capture the WWE Championship. It was Lesnar’s first match on television since 2004.

The star-studded premiere also featured appearances by The Rock and boxing champion Tyson Fury.

We also got an appearance after the match from Cain Velasquez which lead to a WWE Title Match a few weeks later.

What was your first thoughts when you saw this happen? I thought we'd get more of a typical Lesnar vs Smaller Guy match but I was dead wrong.

Every time a wrestler passes away its certain shocking and sad. But lets not speculate and pass off inaccurate information in attempt to "break some news." Its a disgusting tactic. We dont need to know how someone passed away. Its not our place. When the time is right I'm sure the family will speak up but until then, let us offer our condolences to Pac's friends and family and save the speculations. An incredibly gifted talent, Pac was, and he will be truly missed.

Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans."
