Our Assembly Office observed Queens Housing Court, where property owners and tenants dispute eviction, succession, and habitability cases! Special thanks to Judge Rina Gurung for taking the time to explain how housing court works and offering this unique educational experience that helps us connect the constituent work we do every day ๐ฉโโ๏ธ

Serving Assembly District 30 as your voice in Albany for the past four years has been the honor of a lifetime.
I am proud to endorse Patrick Martinez to carry forward the fight for working families and a more affordable, just, and welcoming Queens.
As a former teacher, CUNY graduate, and District Leader, he understands the challenges facing everyday New Yorkers and the urgency of making government work for them.
Woodside, Elmhurst, Maspeth, Jackson Heights, and East Elmhurst deserve a representative who will fight for affordable housing, stand with workers, defend our immigrant neighbors against ICEโs attacks, and secure the investment needed to protect our communities from flooding.
Patrick has my full support, and I urge our neighbors to join me in electing him this November so that working people can afford to stay, raise a family, and build a future in the communities we love and call home.

Had a great dialogue with City Watch host Jeff Simmons on WBAI about the recent surge in ICE activity โ what Iโve denounced as a campaign of fear and intimidation โ in Woodside.
We talked about how ICEโs own data shows that the vast majority of people arrested have no criminal charge or conviction.
The numbers are important: We have to look at whoโs actually being arrested here, vs the public-safety narrative the federal administration is trying to peddle.

I was honored to join One Fair Wage in commemorating the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and to remember the 170 lives lost at Windows of the World at Tower 1. We heard the incredible stories from the survivors as well as from OFW who continues to fight for dignity and respect for workers in the restaurant industry.
We uplift our voices together to make clear to Governor Hochul that public education is a public obligation, and public dollars belong in public schools.
Alongside educators, unions, and community leaders, we call on her to reject the federal voucher program and invest in the schools that welcome every child. New Yorkโs children deserve fully funded classrooms and a state government that stands firmly behind them.
