Thirty years of wedded bliss. Uncle Sam is the luckiest guy on earth being married to Jean. Married by Governor on July 3, 1996 at the Hatch Memorial Shell on the Esplanade serenaded by the Boston Pops Orchestra directed by Keith Lockhart before 40,000 Guests.

Thursday morning, I had the pleasure of meeting with Uncle Sam Rounseville, Jean Kenney, and Bill Hanney - Owner/Producer of the Entertainment Management Corporation which consists of Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre, Theatre By the Sea, and Entertainment Cinemas. We discussed Bill’s strong interest in having a theater location in Weymouth. It was a great visit with some strong possibilities of them becoming part of our community in the future.

This photo is from 1989 at a veteran’s nursing home. Uncle Sam and his mom would go to nursing homes to entertain the residents. Elda could play the tiple (a small, guitar-like instrument), piano and saxophone. She was quite a woman! I think the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, Uncle Sam.
