Launching one of my most special handloom treasures — Patola! ❤️
Patola is not just a saree; it is a beautiful part of Gujarat’s textile heritage. Traditionally woven using the double ikat technique, both the warp and weft threads are carefully resist-dyed before they are woven together. The magic is in the precision — the patterns have to align perfectly on the loom, creating those beautiful, almost jewel-like motifs. 🪡✨
What makes Patola even more special is the incredible amount of time, patience and skill that goes into creating each saree. It is truly a labor of love, where generations of weaving knowledge are passed from one artisan to another.
And honestly, this is what I love most about handloom — you can see the hands and heritage behind every thread. ❤️
I’m so excited to finally add this beautiful piece to our Handloom Point collection.
