We want to say something we don't think you hear enough from financial advisors: it's okay to spend your money. Here's a simple way to think about it: if you don't fly first class, your heirs likely will.
That's not a joke about mortality — it's a nudge about priorities. The money is going to get spent by someone, someday. Wouldn't you rather it be you, in seat 2A, enjoying the trip you worked your whole life to be able to take?
Having permission to spend is one of the quieter problems in retirement planning. It should be a core part of what a good planning relationship should provides: not just a strategy to grow and protect your money, but a clear, data-backed answer to the question "can I actually spend this?"
When you can see your plan mapped out — income sources, time horizon, margin for the unexpected — spending stops feeling like a risk and starts feeling like the point. If that's something you've been sitting with — whether you're approaching retirement or already there — I'd welcome a conversation. No pressure, just a fresh set of eyes on the numbers.
Do you need a little more "yes" into your plan?

Every important financial decision carries a story behind it. The numbers are only one part of the picture.
The rest is understanding what matters most, weighing the tradeoffs, and making decisions you can feel good about long after they're made.
That's why thoughtful planning starts with listening before it ever gets to recommendations.

When people think about building wealth, investment returns often get most of the attention. But long-term wealth is rarely shaped by a single factor.
Tax decisions. Cash flow management. Major life events. Investment strategy. Over time, these pieces tend to work together, influencing outcomes in ways that aren't always obvious in the moment.
That's why financial planning is often less about finding one perfect solution and more about understanding how each decision fits into the bigger picture.

Here's something we see often when we review someone's full financial picture for the first time: an IRA, a Roth IRA, and a taxable investment account — all invested in the same portfolio.
On the surface, it looks simple and consistent. In practice, it usually means two things are working against you:
Your whole portfolio rides on one investment style. Whether it's growth, value, a specific sector, or one manager's approach, having 100% of your money in a single style means there's nowhere to hide if that style goes through a rough stretch. Everything moves together.
Tax efficiency is left on the table. Your IRA, Roth IRA, and taxable account are all taxed completely differently. Where you hold an investment can matter just as much as what you hold — and when everything is identical across accounts, that flexibility disappears.
If you've never had someone sit down and look at all of your accounts together — not just one at a time — it's worth doing. It's often where the most overlooked opportunities are hiding.

Most of us can name a teacher we still remember.
Not necessarily because of what they taught, but how they saw potential before we saw it ourselves.
As another school year begins, we'd like to thank the teachers in our community who invest their time, energy, and care into helping shape the next generation.
Your impact reaches further than you may ever know. Who is a teacher you'll never forget?

For decades, the goal was simple: save, plan ahead, and be disciplined.
Over time, those habits become part of who you are.
That's why spending in retirement can feel surprisingly uncomfortable, even when the numbers support it. The hesitation often isn't financial. It's emotional.
If you've ever questioned a trip, an experience, or a purchase you've worked years to afford, you're not alone.
Learning to enjoy what you've spent a lifetime building can be just as important as building it in the first place.

Early in your career, it’s easy to feel pressure to keep up with what everyone else is doing.
But building wealth intentionally requires decisions that align with your priorities, not outside influence.
