Artspace
Artspace is a non-profit visual arts center that uses art to inspire positive community impact.
Artspace exists to inspire creative energy by engaging and educating all in the community about the creative process. Artspace believes in supporting the careers and development of artists of all levels by providing time and space to work, the opportunity to engage with other artists locally and outside of the community, exposure to the community through exhibiting their work, and professional development opportunities. Artspace serves the public by introducing them to diverse artistic styles from artists both inside and outside of the area and by further educating them regarding the creative process. We believe in creating avenues whereby the public and artists can come together to engender a better understanding and commitment to the visual arts. At Artspace we host an environment in which artists of all levels and ages can learn and exchange ideas. Whatever boundaries one may face to experiencing the creative process (the stigma of elitism, expensive classes, physical disabilities, etc), Artspace breaks down those barriers by being accessible and real. We believe that nourishing the soul is vitally important to our community’s well-being. We would be remiss if we did not reach out to everyone in the community as we seek to improve the community as a whole. By bringing free art programming to children and adults where they live and play, we are breaking down the barriers of cost and transportation that may hinder many economically-disadvantaged families from participating in arts education. Artspace challenges members of our community to appreciate and learn from art, to express themselves, and to positively engage in and influence their surroundings. By doing so, we hope to create leaders of tomorrow that will follow their intuition and inspire others to think creatively to address community issues.

We are thrilled to announce that we were named Wake County's Best Art Gallery for Purchase by INDY Week!
For the past 40 years, our doors have been open to Triangle residents and visitors looking to connect with local artists, surround themselves with art, and spark their own creativity and curiosity. It is truly a special moment to find the perfect piece of artwork to take home or gift to a loved one, and we love hearing all the stories of what people have purchased at Artspace over the years.
Thank you to INDY and everyone who voted for us! We hope to see you at Artspace (we've got some beautiful pieces waiting for new homes 🙃)
Creative Director Jonh has a message for you: Make sure your 12x12 submission is actually 12x12!
Our 12x12 Member Showcase is an annual celebration of our member community, featuring over 200 original works of art under $500, including paintings, drawings, collages, textile works, and sculptures.
The uniformity of size helps the uniqueness of each piece stand out and creates a visually appealing display for visitors and collectors looking to purchase artwork.
Submissions are open until October 6, and there is no entry fee (but you must have an active Artspace membership to be eligible). Share your 12x12 with the world: https://buff.ly/8sl3w9b

Meet the All American class of 2026 🎉📕✏️

On Sunday, we closed our inaugural HBCU group show, "All American". We were so grateful to have 30 participating artists (both current students and alumni) representing 10 different HBCUs!
At our exhibition reception, we welcomed 17 of those artists, their friends and family, and community members for a night of celebration and connection alongside their beautiful works of art. We can't wait to host this exhibition again in the future, and continue highlighting the exceptional artists being shaped by HBCUs today! Special shoutout to for bringing this vision to life!
