Macarons are in high demand in many cities around the world, but the Triangle had been slower to catch on to this delicious trend. That’s when Amanda Boury decided she’d like to introduce Raleigh to The Sweeter Side. Food has always been the center of our family traditions therefore she had both developed a passion for experimenting with and tasting new recipes and Amanda is no stranger to the North Carolina State Fair, winning many first and second place ribbons for her recipes. She began baking these indulgent sweets in their kitchen for personal enjoyment, but always felt that these cookies deserved to be shared with the people of Raleigh. Each cookie uniquely offers a different experience for your taste buds. The vibrant colors of the crispy outer shell will tempt you into tasting the chewy, soft and delicate center that surrounds the mouth-watering fillings, like a decadent dark chocolate ganache, a rich flavored buttercream or a light fruity jam. There is nothing quite like a Macaron. So, go ahead, please your taste buds.
