August marks the start of back-to-school season, and for students living with cystic fibrosis, balancing classes while managing hospitalizations, treatments, and unexpected illness can make earning a degree even more difficult. But CF shouldn't stand in the way of a college education.

We’re grateful for our partners at Wake Tech Community College's Care Center, where students have access to resources and support to help them stay on track with their educational and career goals. If illness interrupts their studies, they can pause and resume coursework without academic penalty.

Join Filotimo Foundation and for Flip Up for Skylar on Saturday, September 19 at Fortnight Brewing in Cary for a day of disc golf, community, and support.

Some of you may recognize Skylar from our gala this past May. At just 24 years old, Skylar is living with cystic fibrosis and is now preparing for the next chapter of her journey: a double lung transplant. This tournament will help raise funds to support her through what's ahead.
