Worship leaders - if you are not raising up the next generation to follow in your footsteps, you’re missing it! We won’t go as far as to say you are failing, but Dr. Ron Kenoly felt that was the conviction the Lord had placed on his heart. This is his son Sam Kenoly following in his footsteps and sharing the same convictions. And he’s one of many of the next generation that the doctor raised up.
This is part of an hour long discussion on discipleship we had over on the Worship Tutorials YouTube channel. We talk about what it is, why it’s important, what the Bible says about it and some practical ways to do it without team.

If your worship team is getting smaller or isn’t gaining new members, you may be missing one thing: discipleship.
I think we tend to think discipleship is strictly about reading your Bible, but it’s so much more than that! Discipleship brings people in, and it will keep them there. It’s training people to do the things we do in the church so we can better serve our people. It’s hanging out with people, having fun, and walking through life with them.
In our video today, we talk about what that looks like overall, but also some really practical ways to do it.
I really feel like the way our worship director handles discipleship is incredible, so I brought him on the channel today! Samuel Kenoly joins us, and yes, he is in fact Ron Kenoly’s son. So we’re getting wisdom from both of them in this one, and it is AWESOME!

Have you been striving to build a team only to loose members or not get buy-in like you were hoping? One simple thing you may be overlooking is discipleship. Your church discipling your members will lead to more people serving with you. Further discipleship keeps them.
But what does that look like? Teaching people to follow Jesus and look like Jesus involves showing them how to serve. And part of that can be equipping the Saints to do the work.
If this goofy video we did speaks to you (or maybe just the topic overall which is more likely), check out the latest video over on the channel and please consider subscribing! See you over there.
My in-ear monitor mix vs the house/livestream mix. Should have had more vocals in my monitor ha. Also that house mix sounds GOOD.

Here’s a great mashup we did at my church this past Sunday. We sang Gratitude right up until the bridge. At that point we started the bridge of Great Are You Lord and finished it out. Then went into that alternate chord progression at the end of Gratitude to bookend it. I feel like this is a super easy medley to do. Surely others have done it. But I LOVE IT. Anyone done it as well?
For prep, our team put notes in the telling us just that and to focus on those spots in the songs. We just ran it Sunday and it worked flawlessly.
I am using Anagram loaded with NAM captures of our Big Boss dual amp combo. NAM is GREAT. Takes effects VERY well.
For verb I am REALLY loving this Nucleo. It’s dense and wispy in all the right ways. Trying to find the best way to swap presets live tho.
Drives are .adw Konstante and .approved Buckartie Boo. Just trying new stuff and loving them both!
The Timeline MX is a DREAM for this OG TL user. Love the natural evolution of the pedal and algorithms. They sound so rich!
And .picks Signature pick as always.
Incredible in-ears from and . These Premiers allow to hear everything so well without having to crank it up.
Running my Classic HSS Antique as well. Old reliable!
Come to church with me and my family! My son comes with me for rehearsal and my wife and daughter come for first service.
Every month we have a fifth Sunday, our church has the bigger kids in service with us. Loads of fun!

You do what you gotta do 😂 anyone else? 🙋🏻♂️
Do you do this? Merely tuning your guitar up or down a half step can be reeeeally helpful in ways a capo may not. Both are great! Use what works best for you!
