Our family has been growing Christmas trees for over 70 years. We're close and conveniently located!
Our 40-acre farm offers a relaxed, outdoor experience for families and friends. Our Christmas tree fields are mixed among groves of large pine trees that create an 'up-north,' park-like environment. If you've visited us before you'll remember this natural setting in the middle of the city. Photographers interested in using Hansen Tree Farm as a location for a photo shoot should read the instructions, reserve a date, and pay for a permit via the 'photos' tab on our website. 🎄 Opening Season 2026 at Hansen Tree Farm! 🎄
Established in 1952, we're gearing up for another exciting season! Opening day is Friday, November 20th. We can't wait to see you.
Come visit us Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 9 AM to 5 PM, for a real Christmas tree adventure. Wander through our fields, find "the one," and cut it yourself. 🌲 We're one of the closest tree farms in the Twin Cities, tucked into an urban forest conveniently off of HWY 10 and Ramsey Blvd.
What we offer:
🚜 Hayrides through the forest, or drive right out to the fields if you'd rather skip the walk
🏘️ A play village for the kids to explore
🔥 A cozy community fire, or a private fire pit for your group
☕ Fresh spiced cider and hot chocolate, every day we're open
🌭 Our famous family Christmas sausage (Black Friday, plus every Saturday & Sunday)
Swing by the gift shop 🎁 or pick up one of our Hansen Tree Farm handmade wreaths before you head out. All you need to bring is yourself. We'll hand you a saw, then shake, bale, and secure your tree so it's ready for the ride home.

Happy Earth Day from Hansen Tree Farm!
Today we're walking miles and miles of drip line irrigation looking for leaks, so our future Christmas Trees are thriving and growing.
Leaks happen — gophers, birds, saws, and even us Hansens. But we find them, fix them, and keep the water flowing where it matters. Every line feeds a new tree, and every new tree is our way of giving back to mother earth.
